7 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each Month at Lansing Town Hall. Special meetings of the Board of Supervisors are scheduled and posted anytime the Board needs to meet regarding Township business. Austin School District Special Election
Austin Independent School District 492 will be holding a special election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The ballot will consist of a two-question bond referendum. This election is only for voters who reside in the Austin school district. There will be extended absentee voting hours on: Saturday, November 1 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday, November 3 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Park and enter the Government Center on the northwest side of the building near the Law Enforcement Center. All absentee voting will require an Absentee Ballot Application form to be completed first. To have an absentee ballot mailed to you, you must first complete the Absentee Ballot Application online Minnesota Regular Absentee Ballot Application or request an application form be mailed to you by contacting the Auditor-Treasurer’s Elections Office at 507-434-2614. Return the completed application to the following address: Mower County Auditor-Treasurer, 201 1st Street NE Suite 7, Austin, MN 55912. Once the absentee ballot application is received back, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. Voted ballots can be mailed back to or dropped off at the Mower County Auditor-Treasurer Office (201 1st Street NE Suite 7, Austin, MN 55912). Voted ballots must be received at the Mower County Auditor-Treasurer Office by or before 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4 to be counted. Voting on Election Day Tuesday November 4, 2025 Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at: Austin City Hall (500 Fourth Avenue NE, Austin, MN).
